its amazing how i can hate alot of things about a place and still like to stay on … yar … in Shanghai, i hate the crowds … i hate the noise of traffic (horns and sqeaks of brakes) … i hate the polluted air … i hate the predominantly rude people … i hate the smelly streets with lots of “left behind” phlegm … i hate the hot summer … BUT … i still wouldn’t mind coming back to stay and work here … why? … cos’ there is a certain sense of freedom … a sense of being better (in a certain way) … that i think is what makes me want to stay on … its like a love-hate situation … hardly simple … simply hard to comprehend!
